Our founder Dom struggled to find the product he wanted. 

Suffering from sensitive skin but wanting protection from the harsh Australian Sun, Dom couldn’t find a product that A) moisturised and felt good on and B) Protected from the sun while not irritating his skin with harsh UV chemical filters. 

The only solution was to utilise zinc oxide as the main protective ingredient. However, this presented a new variety of challenges. 

Traditional creams with zinc showed up on the skin too visibly and were too thick.

After back and forth with labs for years and testing on every human around us that would allow it. 

We created a formula that filled all of our criteria. It was Natural, felt good on the skin and protected from approximately 93%(SPF15) of UVA/UVB rays.

As a passion project we knew we wanted to give back. Right from the start we knew we wanted to help the friends around us who had or still do suffer from mental illness. 

We decided then and there that all profits would be donated to a variety of charities that help and support people with mental illness. After many months researching the best places to support, as well as the mental health data in Australia. 

The name was formed. One Five, representing the one in five Australians that suffer from mental illness.
